Ingredients
For this recipe we are using all fresh vegetables to create a fresh, tasty and simple salsa recipe.

Tomatoes: We used Roma tomatoes
Onion: Red onion adds a great flavor and pop of color
Jalapeno: Will add a touch of spice. You can use more or less to change the spiciness level. Make sure to remove all the seeds if you don't want a very spicy salsa.
Lime: Adds a nice acid and juicy flavor to the salsa
Cilantro: For an extra pop of flavor and color
Salt & Pepper: To taste
See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
This salsa recipe is so easy to make that it doesn't need a lot of instructions. Start by dicing and chopping the tomatoes, onions, jalapeno and cilantro.
For the best salsa, try to keep everything uniform in size.

Then put all your diced tomatoes into a medium sized bowl.

Add in the jalapenos and onions.

Then add in the cilantro, salt and pepper, and the juice from your lime.

Mix everything well in the bowl, making sure that the seasonings are evenly distributed.

While you can serve and eat the salsa right away, letting everything sit together in the fridge for an hour will let the flavors blend better, creating an even tastier salsa!

Variations
This is one of the most basic salsa recipes. Of course, its delicious as is and a classic for a reason. However here are some variations you could try:
- Spicy: Add more peppers, such as habanero for a spicier version.
- Fruity: For a bit of added sweetness you could add in some fruit like mango or pineapple.
- Creamy Salsa: Substitute avocados for the tomatoes for creamy guacamole salsa.
Storage
To store, put salsa in a sealable container and store in the fridge up to one week, or freeze for up to one year.
